Farnborough Airport wants to increase weekend flight numbers by 50%! This is a massive increase in flights, and a huge threat to our climate, as well as the surrounding area. We only have until 30th December to share our opposition!

Proposing an increase to the number of flights during a climate crisis is hugely irresponsible. This is particularly the case for private jet flights, which are a grotesquely wasteful mis-use of our scarce remaining emissions budget to avoid crashing our climate. If this harmful development is allowed to go ahead, it will make it more difficult for the UK to reach its vital emissions targets. This development will also harm the local area, increasing noise and air pollution that harms the health and wellbeing of local residents. I urge the council to reject this application.
